Hey there! I was wondering if there was anyone out there that's willing to sell the following cards to me. I'm re-starting my Pokemon card collection and mainly collecting the EX cards. I'm searching for Altaria EX 90/106 (Emerald), Mew EX 88/92 (Legend Maker), Arcanine EX 83/92 (Legend Maker), and Latios EX 94/97 (EX Dragon). I'm only buying MINT/MINT cards. Contact me through tumblr messages if you have any! Thank you (:
Actually, is it alright if you reblog my post about the pulls? Sorry I know I submitted the picture, but I forgot to crop that one. The one I posted on my blog is better with more pictures. Thank you in advance! >.<
I tried going to your blog but the iPhone app won’t let me reblog your post.
I won’t be able to post as much because my computer finally decided to die. I’ll try posting as often as I can but the iPhone app is still pretty limiting. Hopefully I’ll be getting a new computer soon
Been following your blog for a while and I love it. I want to share a story about how I once had the rare Pikachu N64 as a child that I won from a candy sale at school. It was my pride and joy. In my teenage years I went through a stupid phase where I thought I was too good for videogames and gave the system to a friend. I no longer know that friend and I want my N64 back :( I check Ebay for it all the time but never have the money to actually by it at the prices they charge.
I went through the same phase and sold my old n64 when I was a kid. About a year ago I bought a pikachu n64 with both Pokemon stadiums from a high school friend. Best purchase in my opinion for only $35 bucks. Keep searching! You’ll find a deal one of these days!
Well I've seen fake holos where the whole card shines and it's just crap and really obvious, but never one where the picture is holo as it should be. Also you can't see through fake cards anymore. Or not the new ones at least.
I think it depends on who makes the fake if you can see through it or not but yeah most holo cards supposedly have very terrible quality holographics.
Today I found a few Pokemon cards in my grandma's attic. A holo Japanese Ampharos (I'm not sure which set it's from), Japanese Lugia, Promo Mew, holo Blaine's Arcanine and a holo Dragonite from the fossil set. I was so excited! I also found a Pikachu, Raichu, Mew and Meowth plushie! I'm so happy. That's like, a sliver of my childhood. :3
I wish I would have kept older pokemon cards besides my base set. Sounds like a great day!
I do the same, I like to organize my cards in binders by the set, and then I put the cards of each set I have in their correct numbered space and leave spaces for cards I dont have yet. :> Any doubles I keep in those tins you can buy, and I have a charizard tin solely for keeping my decks and damage/burn/poison counters. c:
I have a feeling a good portion organize their cards this way!
Just wondering, does anyone else keep their cards in numerical order within a binder? I usually just see binders with cards not in any specific order. Is there some reason for that? I think having them in order of generation is pretty cool..
I keep mine in order by set (when they were released) and by the set numbers on the card. I like the look of the organized cards. Others like to organize by type or by the number they appear in the pokedex.
Is it possible the one on the right is a fake? Shine a light through the back of it, and if you can see the pokeball through the front it's probably a fake, as all real cards have like a black layer in the middle of them to prevent players seeing through their cards.
That could be a possibility but to make a clear comparison between the two, both should be set down and a photo of each should be taken as individual cards then uploaded side by side for comparison. A card can look a lot different based on the lighting/angle that picture is taken. But great suggestion!
I'm looking to buy the poster that came with the box set of the Diamond and Pearl Adventure! manga. I already have all the single volumes so I just need the poster. Also if anyone can hook me up with the Singaporean editions of Golden Boys 1-3 (the whole series) and Magical Pokemon Journey 8-10, I'd much appreciate it. I'm in the US if it matters.
I have never come across a non-English shadowless card. I believe all languages other than English are printed later, and only the very first print run of English cards were shadowless, so it would make sense if they weren't. And of course, Japanese cards were made years before, completely independently.
Do you think shadowless cards were released elsewhere than the US?
I do not know honestly because I haven’t seen any in a foreign language, seeing as how wizards was the one who created them (and is an American company), it’s easy to see why English sets received shadowless cards. Anyone know?
So shadow is better? Is it actually a type of card like holos, rares, dark, etc? Or is it a long term effect that happens over time? Idk the card on the right looks a lot better?
Shadowless are rarer. Reason is because wizards of the coast put them in production but soon decided they didn’t like the look of the cards. so they then changed them, resulting in the regular unlimited base set!
Feel kinda lame for asking, how can you tell the difference of a shadow/shadowless card? I have some cool holos I'd like to determine
No problem I’ll actually post a picture to show you in a second but the key way is to look at the copy right dates. If the card copyright reads 1995, 96, 98, 99 its shadowless. but I’ll post a picture so you can see
